The Lighthouse
The Lighthouse (2019) is a black-and-white arthouse film drama following two lighthouse keepers on a remote New England island in the 1890s. This concept project explores a hand-made poster design inspired by the film’s distinctive cinematography and psychological tension.
Using light and shadow as both material and metaphor, custom letterforms were constructed to evoke the film’s eerie atmosphere and sense of foreboding, translating its themes into a tactile and dynamic typographic composition.
